Plinkfizz’s long-term client, Electroserv celebrated its 50th year trading this year (2024). The directors hosted an event for all staff, suppliers and select customers to mark the momentous occasion, enlisting Plinkfizz to undertake a large portion of the event planning.
Inviting approximately 150 guests to the brand-new fan zone named The Boothen Quarter at Bet365 Stadium, Electroserv wanted to host a family friendly fun event to say thank you to its delegates for five decades of support and commitment.
Event planning, print buying, print design, project management, event asset design, supplier procurement, event management.

The venue was arranged by the client, which is when Plinkfizz stepped in. Our Account Manager liaised with the event planners at Stoke Stadium, as well as an events company to bring the party to life. Agreeing budgets, costs, activities and timelines meant the client could relax, knowing the celebration was in good hands, and Plinkfizz would keep the communication between all parties open.
Plinkfizz sourced the entertainment package which included: mini golf, hook a duck, Connect Four with other outdoor games, to keep families of all ages entertained. The team also sourced stilt walkers, a sweet buffet supplier and a glitter artist / face painter to complement the family fun day theme. The client also procured a magician, food vendors and a coffee cart.

Plinkfizz began the process by designing a new 50th anniversary logo using black and gold to evoke elegance and professionalism. The luxury of the design was rolled out across all the event marketing material going forward, showing event guests that this was a special occasion, worthy of luxury and expense to celebrate their 50 years.
The next step was to design and print a stunning invitation which was printed on 450gsm matte laminated card and posted in luxury black envelopes embossed with gold lettering on the 50th logo.
The event required many promotional materials to make it come to life, including 50 pin badges which were gifted to attendees. It also showed the food and drink vendors who was eligible for free food and drink (invited guests only). Branded umbrellas were purchased in the event of rain with it being an outdoor venue (these were required but thankfully not for long) and doubled as a gift, event staff vests, cupcakes (sourced by the client), photo wall backdrop, a digital itinerary, digital event map, and most importantly, an interactive, on-screen Wheel of Fortune which was spun hourly with a selected member of staff having the opportunity to win grand prizes like a flight or extra holiday days, down to booby prizes like a big stuffed teddy or electrical tape.
Two team members supported the client on the day with the set up ahead of arrivals, to handing out wheel of fortune gifts, acting as a central point of contact for all the suppliers, liaising with the sound technicians, host of the day (BBC Host Lucas Yeomans), creating a script and running order of events for the host, instructing the DJ when he was needed and generally making sure the event ran smoothly.
Overall, the event was a huge success and was a fantastic example of multiple suppliers coming together thanks to a well-organised and executed plan, for a fantastic, memorable day.
“We used Plinkfizz to help us organise a 50th anniversary event for our staff. Kirsty was instrumental in helping us plan the event and she was also our main contact during the event liaising with suppliers and event staff to ensure everything ran smoothly. We really couldn’t have pulled off such a large scale event without the skills & expertise of Plinkfizz.”
Managing Director, Electroserv.
