A Plinkfizz campaign to generate excitement and increase footfall to the newly refurbished Swan With Two Necks restaurant for the Parogon Group has been shortlisted for a top industry award.
The Swan With Two Necks Campaign launched in January 2019 when the venue closed for refurbishment. Plinkfizz was tasked with promoting the news while retaining existing loyal customers during the shutdown period and to generate footfall to the group’s other five restaurants during the Swan’s closure.
This fun and creative campaign created a great buzz locally for the much-loved gastro pub and has now caught the eye of judges at the Prolific North Northern Marketing Awards who have earmarked it as a finalist in the Best Low Budget Campaign category.

The campaign centred on a “Swans Nest” concept which included a mixture of social media relations, a competition, traditional public relations and the design and creation of unique marketing materials. These included five-foot cygnets for each venue and ‘eggs’ which diners could take home to ‘hatch’ to reveal either a cygnet or swan which they were encouraged to share via social media.

Plinkfizz is the only Staffordshire agency to be shortlisted and an award is regarded as recognition of a commitment to the highest standard of practice in the marketing industry. Last year Plinkfizz were shortlisted in the Prolific North Best Low Budget Campaign category 2018, and in 2017 scooped the title of Best Small Agency in the Northern Marketing Awards and Best Integrated Campaign in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Midlands PRide Awards.
