The team at Plinkfizz are celebrating after judges awarded us the title of Best Small Agency at the Northern Marketing Awards.
Entries were received from agencies from every corner of the north, and an award is regarded as recognition of a commitment to the highest standard of practice in the industry.
Hosted by Andy Crane and Emma Jesson at the Hilton in Manchester, a total of 19 prized purple ‘N’s were awarded, with Plinkfizz seeing off competition from seven others shortlisted in the Small Agency Award category.
The judges felt the Plinkfizz entry was well written, and were impressed by its “set of objectives” “strong and rational approach” and “solid, simple case studies” and commented that its team were “head and shoulders above the rest”.
Owner and MD of Plinkfizz, Fiona Hawkins said winning the award made her incredibly proud of the work her team had delivered for their clients.
She added: “I’m absolutely delighted and still in shock, as these awards pitted us against the very best in our sector.
“We always work hard to deliver exceptional results for our clients, but we’ve been one of the best kept secrets in the region for too long. This award is proof that our approach to service and the outcomes we achieve far exceed the industry standard.”
The 14-strong team has already been recognised as a leading PR agency in the region having been ranked 40th by independent publisher Prolific North – the only communications company from Staffordshire to make the list – based on overall business performance.
Plinkfizz has also been shortlisted in four Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards for the ‘closer than you think’ campaign to attract more students which ran last summer, and resulted in a 30 per cent rise in applications to the City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College.
