Property company’s campaign transforms former rundown business park Property company’s campaign transforms former rundown business park

A rundown industrial estate has been given a new lease of life by property consultancy Harris Lamb.

A variety of start-up and small to medium sized companies have set up business at Imex Business Park, Fenton, in the last 9 months.

The business park, close to the A50, was previously known as the Lightstone Point Industrial Estate and was recently rebranded to its original name of IMEX Business Park. The site comprises a selection of small industrial units and towards the end of 2010, was largely empty.

The estate has been refurbished throughout and combined with a concentrated marketing campaign has transformed the area, said Becky  Colclough, Agency Surveyor at Harris Lamb’s Stoke-on-Trent office.

“When the business park was taken on by the current Asset Managers at the height of the recession there were over 40 empty units,” said Becky.

“Despite this poor economic outlook, we have found that there are many new and small businesses which are looking to expand and require dedicated workshops and offices for the first time.”

A variety of small to medium sized companies have moved onto the site to include RDS Vehicle Repairs, who specialise in vehicle maintenance and body work and Abbey Wholesale Supply who design personalised stationary.

The average company employs 2-8 people on site, dependent on the nature of the business and size of unit rented.

There are still a variety of refurbished units available on the estate on flexible lease terms. For further information please contact the agents, Harris Lamb on 01782 272555.
