Lifesaving charity appeals for volunteers as fit-out firm provides uniforms

Commercial fit-out specialist Planned Office Interiors has stepped in to provide staff and volunteer uniforms at a lifesaving charity.

The Stone-based business celebrates 40 years in business this year, and has pledged 40 hours of time to support local charities and community groups, which include AEDdonate based in Stone High Street.

The charity supports clubs, groups and organisations with fundraising to buy Automated External Defibrillators (AED) to help prevent sudden death through cardiac arrest.

Neil Rowley, office furniture manager at Planned Office Interiors, said: Since we helped the AEDdonate team set up their community room earlier this year, we’ve continued to work in partnership to support them as our local community charity.

When Jamie at AEDdonate mentioned they wanted to recruit volunteers and needed uniforms for them and their staff, we were happy to step in and help and I think they look really smart and professional.

I hope their recruitment drive for volunteers is successful, as the work they do is essential and saves lives, and the more volunteers they have the more people they can help across the county and beyond.

As a result of the donation all of the staff now have polo tops, sweatshirts and jackets which feature the Planned Office Interiors logo, with branded T-shirts also available for their volunteers.

Jamie Richards, chief executive of AEDdonate, said the arrival of the uniforms was well timed as the charity is holding a volunteer recruitment evening on Wednesday June 28th.

He said: We were delighted when Planned Office Interiors helped to fund our uniforms, as not only do they make us look professional, but when we’re out in the community they help raise awareness of our charity and reassure the people we¹re working with.

At the moment we have four volunteers, but we urgently need around 10 more so that we can carry out all the community projects we currently have and be able to begin new ones.

Our recruitment evening takes place at our headquarters on Stone High Street from 6-9pm on June 28th, and we¹re appealing for people of all ages and skills to come along and find out more about us.

Whatever their skills, whether it¹s IT, photography, administration, organising events or giving talks, we can find a role to match their talents.²
